Aboudou Mroivili

The Comoros


Before joining the Humphrey Program, Mr. Aboudou Mroivili worked for two years as the Director of the Secondary Education Department in the Ministry of Education for Grande Comore, the largest of the Comoros islands. Before being appointed director, Mr. Mroivili taught English for seven years at Said Mohamed Cheick High School in Moroni, the capital city of the Comoros.

In addition, Mr. Mroivili is involved in organizing youth groups in his hometown of Ntsoudjini. He initiated the creation of the Fumu English club, which still serves as an educational resource for teaching English to both students and adults. He also founded the Lemba youth club, which continues to assist students at risk of repeating grades or dropping out of school, as well as aid struggling students at various levels of education in preparing for examinations. Mr. Mroivili regularly coordinates conferences on education and youth organizations.

Aboudou Mroivili received a University Degree on Literary Studies "D.U.E.L" and a "Maitrise degree" (French Master I) in English Language and Literature at the University of Tunis.

During his Humphrey year, he would like to acquire further understanding of educational planning, policy, and administration, focusing on higher education. Moreover, he would like to acquire new methods and strategies to help at-risk students and organize youth development programs.
