Mr. Mor Diop is an internal auditor supervisor at the internal audit department of Senelec, the national electricity company in Senegal. After working for several years as a manager in the fields of management accounting, financial accounting, and administration and control at Senelec, Mr. Diop was awarded the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship, which allowed him to earn an MBA from the Durham Business School in the UK. After his return to Senelec, Mr. Diop worked as an internal auditor supervisor, managing internal audit teams, working in different projects in organizational and financial processes, internal control procedures, and strategic management control plans. Mr. Diop was recently appointed expert in organizational and financial processes of the internal audit department.
Mr. Diop also supervises the research projects of master’s degree students in the audit program at the Institute Superieur de Management of Dakar and is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. Besides his MBA, Mr. Diop holds a Graduate Diploma in accounting from the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar, which leads to the Diploma of chartered accountant.
During his Humphrey year, Mr. Diop will deepen his knowledge of U.S. financial systems and institutions, especially the effectiveness of transparency, corporate governance, risk exposure, and strategic, risk management, and reporting compliances. |
