Faculty & Staff Assistance Program
The Faculty & Staff Assistance Office is a professional, confidential counseling office on both the Charles River and Medical Campuses. It is available to faculty, staff, and their family members at no cost for any personal or work-related problem. Services include:
- Consultation and assessment;Crisis intervention and risk assessment; Supervisory coaching for managing a troubled employee; Critical incident stress debriefing; Psychotherapy: individuals, couples, families, groups; Organizational consultation; Resource information and referral to community resources.
- Educational programs on family, mental health, drug, alcohol and wellness issues.
Any faculty, staff or family member may contact the office and arrange a meeting with an experienced counselor to discuss their situation and consider strategies. Many problems are successfully managed in the office. Those that require specialized services will be connected with the best available resources. People are generally seen as soon as possible.
