Facilities
Boston University maintains recreational facilities, bookstores, and other commercial establishments for the convenience of the University community. Many of these establishments are also open to the wider Greater Boston community.
- George Sherman Union The GSU is a center of campus life for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their guests.
- University Computers University Computers (UC), a department of the Office of Information Technology, offers computer systems, accessories, and software at educational prices.
- Fitness & Recreation Center The Fitness & Recreation Center provides 270,000 square feet of space, supporting recreational use, physical education, non-credit courses, intramurals, club sports, student organizations and much more.
- Agganis Arena The Agganis Arena is part of the John Hancock Student Village, home of Terrier men's hockey and will play host to various men's and women's basketball games.
- Barnes & Noble Bookstore Barnes & Noble is a unique five-level bookstore featuring books, magazines, electronics, supplies, housewares, prints, greeting cards, gifts, and a wide range of Boston University insignia gifts and sportswear.
- Campus Convenience Campus & City Convenience offers a wide selection of quality groceries, snacks, sandwiches, baked goods, hot and cold beverages, frozen entrees, ice cream, fresh produce and fruits, magazines/newspapers, and office supplies.
- Medical Center Bookstore The Medical Bookstore provides coursebooks and reference books for the medical, dental, and public health programs in addition to medical diagnostic instruments, study aids, emblematic sportswear, supplies, and sundries.
- Office of Conference Services The Office of Conference Services offers a conference and event planning service to assigned departments within the University community and for sponsored programs.
- Sargent Center for Outdoor Education Sargent Center for Outdoor Education is a four-season, multiple-use, outdoor education and conference facility in southwestern New Hampshire, less than two hours from Boston.
