School of Management
The School of Management (SMG), located at
our Charles River Campus, 595 Commonwealth Avenue, offers undergraduate,
graduate, and executive programs designed to prepare leaders. To do this,
the School's programs go beyond the development of basic administrative
skills and functional competencies to foster an awareness and understanding
of the interdependencies in organizations, and the ways technology transforms
them and provides a competitive advantage. The School strives to provide
students with a sensitivity to both the potential and the limitations
of the management systems that control organizations.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program combines
this approach to management training with continuing attention to the
liberal arts. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree allows
for more in-depth management study for both full- and part-time students,
and includes specialized programs with concentrations in health sector
management and public & nonprofit management. The MS•MBA degree
is a dual MBA and Master of Science in Information Systems degree —
two degrees earned in the School of Management in two academic years and
the intervening summer.
Other graduate programs include a Master of Science in Investment Management
(MSIM); an International Management Program - Asia Pacific (IMP); a Doctor
of Business Administration Program (DBA); and several dual degree programs
in conjunction with the Colleges of Communications, Engineering, Arts
and Sciences and the Schools of Law, Social Work and Medicine. An Executive
MBA Program and executive development programs such as the Leadership
Institute, provide specially designed programs for experienced executives.
