School of Law
The School of Law (LAW), 765 Commonwealth Avenue, offers graduate programs leading to the degrees Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation, Banking and Financial Services Law, and American Law for Foreign Lawyers.
The School's guiding principle is to provide students an opportunity to learn the law from dedicated teachers focused on providing an exemplary classroom experience. The School offers an exceptionally broad selection of courses, seminars and extracurricular learning opportunities designed to provide an education that integrates legal theory and analytical and practical skills.
Students may choose to pursue one of nine dual-degree opportunities offered through partnership with the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, The School of Public Health, The School of Management, and The College of Communication. Students may also focus their studies on a particular area of the law such as health law, intellectual property law, business organization and finance law, international law, and litigation and dispute resolution, or choose one of eleven study abroad opportunities, including England, France, Israel, Italy, China, Argentina, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands..
The School also supports a number of student groups and organizations, including six student run journals and more than 25 interest-centered student organizations.
