Haiti Help
Information about the February 28th Boston-wide event
An estimated 250,000 citizens killed. Thousands injured or diseased. Many more missing. If Haiti was once an afterthought to most Americans, the earthquake on January 12, 2010 has certainly brought this Caribbean country to the forefront of our minds, thoughts, and prayers.
At an inaugural meeting of concerned students, staff, and student organizations, we shared ideas for action, but now we need to come up with the plan. As discussed, we want to put together a collaborative event that will not only provide relief to a country in need by raising money but also by working on behalf of the Haitian Cultural Association to educate BU students on the past present, and future culture of the nation.
Please use this site to find news of upcoming meetings, events, and updates on decisions during the planning process, so together we can most effectively respond to this call of duty as students of Boston University and citizens of the world.
