Presentation Travel Grant

Presentation Grant: For students planning on directly participating in a conference or research forum by presenting a paper or poster, participating in a discussion panel, or chairing a discussion or paper session.

  • To qualify for a Fall 2014 grant your trip must occur between July 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014 outside the Boston area.

The GSO awards ten travel grants (five per semester) to facilitate graduate student participation at academic conferences and research forums.  Each award can be as high as $500.  Travel grant winners are selected the semester before the trip is taken, but awards are not distributed until after receipts are submitted.

Who is eligible:  Any graduate student from a department represented at 3 or more GSO meetings in Fall 2013. (see below for attendance to date) Anyone from your department can represent your department at a meeting, even you. A list of people who have recently represented your department (if anyone) is available here.

Applications must be emailed as a word document to the GSO at Applicants who submit via email will receive email confirmation of receipt. PLEASE DO NOT send applications via USPS or campus mail, as applications received by these methods will not be considered.
