Graduate Seminar Series
The goals of the seminar series:
- Build greater awareness of the interesting work BU grad students are conducting
- Spark dialogue – and perhaps collaboration – across disciplines
- Provide a forum for students to gain experience explaining their work to non-specialists
Each seminar will feature 3-4 presenters who will give 10-12 minutes
presentations and then take a few minutes to answer questions. The talks will
target general scholars, and highlight the big picture of your research, so any
level of graduate student (even first-year students) can participate. After the
seminar, there will be additional time for discussion between the audience and
speakers. Refreshments will be provided.
How to participate:
The GSO is currently seeking speakers for the second GSO Seminar Series which will be held on Monday November 11 at 5:00 PM in LSE 103.
If you are interested giving a talk, please send a title and a short description of your talk, along with your contact and departmental information to firstname.lastname@example.org. As talks targeted at general scholars rather than specialists, these presentations should be broadly accessible and highlight the context, relevance, and significance of your research.
Descriptions of recently presented research can be found here.
