of scholars working in one of the world's
most invigorating academic cities. On these
pages you'll find information on finding
housing and orienting yourself
to campus and to the city of Boston.
First
Steps: Getting to Know the Campus
A good place to start is
at the George
Sherman Union (GSU), located
at the heart of campus at 775 Commonwealth
Avenue. In addition to serving as headquarters
for student activities, the GSU houses the
Terrier Card (student ID) office, a U.S.
Post Office, the University Community Service
Center, two banks, a large food court and
dining area, a coffee and bagel shop, a
convenience store, and the Faculty/Staff
Dining Room. To continue your exploration,
see Maps
and Building Codes.
