Panhellenic Council
Welcome to Greek Life at Boston University!
The Panhellenic Council here at BU is the governing body for the nine sororities chartered here on campus. Panhel, with the help of delegates from each sorority, help to regulate Greek life and maintain its growth on campus. We work to provide each member of an affiliated chapter with an opportunity for leadership, scholarship, university involvement, networking and support, and friendship.
Making the decision to become a part of a Greek organization can often times be overwhelming or intimidating—but it shouldn't be. Here at BU, we take great pride in the fact that the Greek community helps its brothers and sisters to become more engaged in the large student-body population while emulating the principles that fraternities and sororities were founded on—leadership and scholarship. In fact, many of the women involved in Greek life are highly motivated both in their chapters and in the classroom.
