Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week 2021

April 5-9 is Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week!

Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week (GPAW) was started in 1993 by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS) as a way to demonstrate appreciation for graduate and professional students nationwide. Boston University is celebrating this year with virtual events focused on recreation and self-care, a small gesture to demonstrate the University’s appreciation for the important role graduate and professional students play within our community. All programs are free and open to all BU graduate and professional students.

The intention of this workshop is to offer graduate students mindfulness-based strategies to cope with the accelerating demands of graduate training.  Graduate training can offer ongoing joyful engagement with a self-chosen path of intellectual pursuit. Join this webinar to learn some practical strategies to face and navigate the stressors that get in the way of your joy and thriving. In this workshop, core concepts of mindfulness, self-compassion and burnout will be explored, followed by a range of strategies to cope with the inherent challenges of graduate school.
