Brief Bio:
Kip Becker, Ph.D. is presently an Associate Professor and the Chairman of the Department of Administrative Sciences at Boston University. He has published numerous articles and book chapters both nationally and internationally in the areas of international management, Electronic Commerce, strategy,marketing and global service sector issues. He is currently on the editorial review boards of Marketing, The Journal of Yugoslav Marketing Association, The Journal of Marketing Channels and The Journal of Teaching in International Business as well as the managing board of the International Management Development Association. He owns a waterfront restaurant and is president of Northwind Management International that has conducted management training and consulting with governments and associations worldwide. Prior to entering academe' Dr. Becker's experience included positions with TDX systems of Cable and Wireless Ltd. in marketing, the U.S. Department of Justice. Dr. Becker served with the US army as a helicopter pilot during Viet Nam and Desert Storm. Among his awards he has earned the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and Thirty Two Air Medals symbolizing over 1000 combat flight hours. In 2006 he was awarded the First Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do Karate.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY. Associate Professor/ Chairman, Administrative Sciences.

Associate Professor: Extensive graduate and undergraduate teaching with highest student and peer evaluations. Courses (classroom and on line) in Electronic Commerce, International Business, Marketing, and Strategy. Responsible for several graduate diploma and certificate programs. Taught on, and assisted with academic coordination, with BU International campus in London, Belgium, Israel and on two North Carolina sites.

Department Chairman Responsibilities:  Designed and responsible specialized Graduate Master of Science degree with concentrations in multinational Commerce, innovation and technology, financial economics, electronic commerce and economic development and tourism management. Designed and responsible for on-line Masters of Science in Management degree. Responsible for Undergraduate business degree program provided in executive and evening format. Staff and responsible for 100 courses per semester, 400 students including180 international. Designed and implemented for Boston University Global a diploma program in International Marketing (2002)
