Shih Chi is responsible for the management of staff, faculty and student payroll and ensures efficient office operations for the Office of Global Programs and Study Abroad.  Shih Chi supports the human resources function including on-boarding, assisting with hiring processes, managing HR records and paid time off processes. He acts as DSA for the Office of Global Programs and Study Abroad, assigning departmental security roles. In addition, he supports special projects as needed. Prior to joining Global Programs, Shih Chi started at Boston University in June of 2011 as Executive Secretary to Boston University’s Provost. Within a short time, he took on expanded roles as Executive Assistant and Office Manager. While serving as the primary administrative support to the Provost, Shih Chi also maintained broader support for the office, planned important provostial events and led several projects (facilities and IT). Shih Chi has completed the Boston Marathon and the Honolulu Marathon. Weather permitting, he enjoys riding motorcycles and exploring the city on foot. Shih Chi earned his BS degree from Boston University’s Sargent College.
