In the course of setting up or managing international projects, it is often necessary or desirable to obtain professional advice or services from lawyers, accountants, payroll providers, and other professionals.
The University has established a uniform procedure for the engagement of professional services, in order to ensure consistency and efficiency as well as management of quality and cost. According to this Engagement of Professional Services Policy, any international professional services are to be approved by the Vice President and Associate Provost for Global Programs. The University will not authorize payment of any fees for professional services unless they have been approved by the appropriate party.
The policy website provides a list of the typical services that you might need to manage your project. An additional service you may find particularly helpful is professional translation. Whether it is simultaneous translation for a speech or presentation or legal document translation, we can help you locate and properly engage with a University-preferred vendor or identify resources outside of the US. Sourcing & Procurement is also available to serve as a resource in making connections for professional services.
Information on formalized agreements with international partners can be found in International Agreements.
