Global Programs seeks to provide travelers with as much support as possible in order to facilitate the healthy, safe, and secure operations of global activities; oversees all University international policies, support, and coordination; and leads overseas emergency response.

We’ll help you access the information and resources offered by many other offices around campus that can support your international activity. For example:

Risk Management Insurance, workers compensation, liability, and emergency travel assistance.
Study Abroad Experienced staff in Boston and abroad and policies for safe travel and emergency planning.
Travel Services Travel arrangements, expenses, reimbursement, and emergency contact assistance.
Office of the General Counsel Support for all legal aspects of overseas operations.
Research Compliance Integrated support for research activities.
Export Control Regulations on the transfer of technology and information to foreign countries.
Human Resources Health insurance for faculty and staff residing or traveling abroad.
BU Police Crime prevention, reporting, and community-safety planning.
Environmental Health & Safety Facility and laboratory safety, emergency response planning.
