Call For Events

BU Global Programs is excited to announce Boston University’s International Education Week 2013 which will take place November 12-22!

What is IEW?
International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education and is celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide. IEW is meant to generate enthusiasm, broaden horizons, spark new dialogues, and encourage new ideas to expand international perspectives.

What is IEW at BU?
IEW is an annual opportunity to celebrate BU’s myriad global dimensions as well as the benefits of international education and related experiences, broadly defined — from study abroad to global arts and music to international research and activities on our Boston campus, both in and out of the classroom. BU held its first IEW in 2012, with 39 events ranging from language lessons to global health issues to the International Wine Olympics!

How Can I Get Involved?
Last year, 35 schools, departments, and groups on campus hosted IEW events. We hope that this year you will join the list! This could be a brand new event or something that your group already has planned or has done in the past. Please click here to view a variety of event ideas or if you would like to submit an event. Note that BU Global Programs will provide support for idea development and university-wide promotion for all IEW events.
