Boston University and the Global Future Boston University and the Global Future

To the Boston University community:

One of the most prominent features of Boston University and its strategy for the future is its international identity. In December of 2005, President Brown called for the development of a President’s Council to examine our Global Future and some strategic directions we might pursue. Comprised of faculty throughout the University, the Council has been conducting this important dialogue. We are exploring our past international accomplishments and what it means to claim to be truly global in nature. We have met with many members of our community, surveyed faculty and students, and interviewed international program leaders at other major universities. The Council is exploring ideas for our mission, organization, curriculum, and ventures abroad in order to identify the strategic leadership, resources, protocol, and structure that can help move us forward.

With this website, we plan to keep the Boston University community informed of our activities, findings, and ideas – and to invite your ongoing reactions and contributions.
