Professionals

- These five $1,000 fellowships plus an expense-paid trip to the Radio-Television
News Directors Association Annual International Conference are available
to applicants who are employed in electronic journalism.

- Awarded annually to an exceptional young minority electronic journalist.
Applicants for this fellowship must be employed in electronic journalism
and have ten years or less experience in the field. The grant may be applied
to any legitimate educational or professional purpose.

- --Vada and Barney Oldfield Fellowship for National Security Reporting

- Awarded annually for outstanding coverage of national defense or security
issues. Applicants must have either ROTC or other military experience,
be employed in electronic journalism, and have ten years or less experience
in the field.

- Awarded annually to an outstanding young journalist for comprehensive
and insightful reporting on environmental issues. Fellowship may be applied
to any legitimate educational or professional purpose. Applicants must

- Awarded to television assignment editors, producers or other journalists
seeking a career in news management. Applicants must have 10 years or less
experience in news.

- Awarded annually to an outstanding young journalist for coverage of
health or medical stories. Fellowship may be applied to any legitimate
educational or professional purpose. Applicants must be employed in electronic

- Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships

- Scholarships which include an expense-paid trip to the Radio-Television
News Directors Association Annual International Conference are available
to graduate and undergraduate students in the field of electronic journalism.
Candidates may only apply in one scholarship category.

- One $2,000 award is offered for one year to a full-time undergraduate
or graduate student whose career objective is television news management.

college sophomores or more advanced undergraduates whose career objective

or incoming full-time graduate student whose career objective is electronic

or graduate student enrolled in an electronic journalism sequence at an
