GHI Mission

The Global Health Initiative (GHI) at Boston University Promotes Multi-Disciplinary Research, Education, Outreach and Policy Studies Across and Beyond the Boston University Community. GHI’s Goal is to Reduce Disparities in Health by Supporting the Generation and Application of Knowledge, Fostering "Global Literacy” Among our Students, and Developing Partnerships with International Health and Science Leaders, Scholars, and Practitioners around the World. A major goal of the Global Health Initiative is to stimulate collaboration between and among Boston University faculty at both the Charles River and Medical campuses, and to aid and support their efforts to develop joint new research programs in global health that would be competitive for outside funding. Pilot Project Program

The Global Health Initiative is supporting two pilot, interdisicplinary global health projects that are connecting Boston University faculty at the Charles River and Medical campuses. The program is geared to provide initial funding to explore new and important concepts in preparation for application to funding agencies for definitive project support. More »
