2017 Opportunities

Are you interested in global health research opportunities during your graduate program at the BU SPH? Do you want to be more engaged in the global health research community at BU SPH?

The BU SPH Department of Global Health Graduate Research Affiliate Program (GRAP) provides short- and longer-term opportunities for masters and doctoral students to be collaborators and research assistants on Department of Global Health research activities.

What’s in it for you?

  • A platform to engage with research opportunities in global health
  • Opportunity to cultivate a relationship with a faculty mentor

Applications Due by Sunday, Oct 29, 2017

To apply to GRAP, students will submit one application and indicate up to three (3) opportunities of interest. The application will require a brief written statement of interest and relevant skills for each opportunity selected, an up-to-date résumé/CV, and any supplementary materials requested by specific opportunities (e.g., writing sample). Students may be required to register for academic credit (either a practicum or directed study) to participate in the GRAP program.

Opportunities for the Fall semester 2017 will be posted in mid-October. Student applications are due in late October. Letters of placement and introduction will be sent out in early December. Most positions will commence in January 2018, but some opportunities desire an earlier start, as noted on their page.
