SPEAKER: DANIELE LANTAGNE, PH.D. Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, School of Engineering, Tufts University Household water treatment and safe storage (HWTS) is a water, sanitation, and hygiene intervention that reduces diarrheal disease by improving water microbiological quality. Drawing on experiences in over 40 countries in Africa, Asia, and Central/South America, Dr. Lantagne will review the evidence on HWTS options, particularly in the emergency context, with focus on building resiliency at the household level to prevent infectious diarrhea transmission.
