Quaker Bolivia Link seeks a part time Consulting Director with the following skills and experience:
- must be organized, highly motivated and resourceful
- must have significant international development experience and be fluent in Spanish and English; ability to communicate in Aymara beneficial
- must be comfortable with Excel, WordPress, and other programs
- must be adept with social media
- must have excellent inter-personal and communication skills, ability to travel, and maturity to handle culturally sensitive situations with grace
- must be familiar with Bolivian culture
- must understand budgets, budget analysis, and financial data
- must have experience working in fund-raising and working with non-profits and boards
- must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule.
Position responsibilities include:
- serve as liaison between QBL boards of directors and the FQBL staff
- assist with fund raising
- assess potential projects and assist with development and monitoring of projects in Bolivia, including budgeting and financial analysis
- assist with marketing and updating website and social media profiles
- translate communications from Spanish to English and English to Spanish with accuracy and idiomatic sensitivity
- undertake a minimum of one 10-14 day trip to Bolivia per year.
