Boston University and the department of Geography and Environment provide excellent resources for teaching and research. Advising and program management for undergraduate and graduate programs is provided by full time program coordinators and faculty directors. Together they provide guidance and infrastructure to help students manage their academic life while at Boston University and structure their careers beyond school.
The Department of Geography and Environment provides students with access to a state-of-the-art PC computing lab and one of the largest, most sophisticated Linux-based computing networks on campus. These facilities are used in coursework and research to train students in cutting-edge tools and software in the geographical and environmental sciences.
Finally, the department maintains close affiliations with several high-impact research centers on campus including the Center for Remote Sensing, the Center for Transportation Studies, the Center for Energy and Environmental Analysis, and the Pardee Center for the Study of the Long Range Future.
