Current Research
My current research is focused on the valuation and modeling of ecosystem services. I am particularly interested in those ecosystem services provided by mobile organisms (birds, bats, and bees) including pollination, pest control, seed dispersal, and nutrient cycling. Using a variety of survey and computer-based techniques, my research integrates ecological and economic principles to better understand how human behavior influences and is influenced by natural ecosystems.
