Current Research
Multi-scalar variability in precipitation over northwestern Mexico and the southwestern US; the role of large-scale and local moisture cycling in supporting regional precipitation variability; climate impacts upon vegetation and agriculture and the use of remote sensing to monitor and predict famine; climate/vegetation interactions and feedbacks related to seasonal climate variability; forcing of the El Nino/Southern Oscillation by tropical and extra-tropical atmospheric circulations.
