Anyone who has installed Office 2013 (available at http://www.bu.edu/tech for faculty and staff) can download spell and grammar check for many different languages here. By default, Office only ships with English, French and Spanish. Unless you know otherwise, you’ll want to download the x86 versions.

Wireless internet was installed by IS&T on the 5th floor of 685 Commonwealth Avenue (CAS) last week and is now available. Hot spots are available in the Admin Office (539/540), Main Lab (537), Video Studio (533), and the classrooms CAS534 and CAS538. Choose BU 802.1x.
On Friday, 2/24, IS&T activated the language packs in Blackboard. The language packs allow an instructor to change the user interface language to French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Japanese or Arabic. Over the last week we have added more tabletop microphones in the lab for recording conversations in pairs. There are now nine stations available, 5 PC and 4 Mac. Groups of three or four can be accomodated with enough notice.
