Accepting Applications: Pre/Post-Doctoral Fellowship – Global China Initiative

Boston University’s Global Development Policy Center is seeking a pre-doctoral and/or post-doctoral fellow for research projects on energy and climate change policy in the GDP Center’s Global China Initiative. The position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team of other pre- and post-doctoral researchers and leading experts, new databases, and interdisciplinary projects. The candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in being involved with ongoing research on the relationship between energy policy, climate change, and overseas foreign investment.

The successful candidate will be a pre-doctoral fellow with Boston University for the spring 2021 semester and all or part of the 2021/22 academic year to engage with these projects and pursue their own related research agenda. Whether or not the fellowship will be remote or in-person will depend on Boston University’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in or graduated from a PhD program in environmental science, economics, political science, geography, public policy, or a related field;
  • Research or coursework experience with computational tools for policy analysis such as statistics, econometrics, or macroeconomic modeling;
  • Organized and detail-oriented;
  • Familiarity with and interest in energy systems and their relationship to climate change and international climate and development policy.
