| The Environmental Health Department of Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) and University of California, San Francisco’s (UCSF) Occupational Medicine Program have collaborated since 1996 on the development and implementation of the Medical Screening and Surveillance programs for former workers at the Nevada Test Site. BUSPH and UCSF have continued their joint collaboration in the development of a similar program directed for former workers of Lawrence Livermore, Lawrence Berkeley, and Sandia National Laboratories in California. In September 2005, the joint BUSPH-UCSF program in Nevada was acknowledged for its work on the behalf of Nevada Test Site workers by Nevada Senator Harry Reid and Las Vegas area Congresswoman Shelley Berkley. |
