Sicilian Wine and Cuisine at Eastern Standard

Description

Travel to the southernmost tip of Italy by way of the wine and cuisine of Sicily, where there are more grape varietals and vineyards than in any other region in the country. Discover indigenous varietals that are cultivated using historic and traditional winemaking methods. From the smoky reds produced from the volcanic terraces of Mt. Etna to the savory whites bottled using the ancient clay amphorae of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, we’ll explore many diverse and unique Sicilian terroirs. Join Eastern Standard Wine Director Colleen Hein for a tasting of some of her favorite Sicilian wines, paired with traditional cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Patrick Campbell.
