Journey to Thailand, with David Tomov-Strock
Learn about Thai cuisine with a mouth-watering, three-course introduction. We will prepare som tum (green papaya salad) to start; create a mild, green curry dish with white rice for the main course, and whip up fried bananas for dessert. This class will use a variety of cooking techniques: grating or julienning for the papaya salad; chopping, puréeing, and stewing for the curry; and deep- or pan-frying for the bananas. The fundamentals of Thai flavors—fish sauce, papaya, coconut milk, ginger, and curry spices—will play a large part in the structure of this class.
