Music and Art, Romantic and Modern


Join renowned pianist Virginia Eskin and Professor Jonathan Ribner for some great music and art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, from Chopin and Delacroix to Satie and Picasso.

March 5: Romantics: Chopin, Schubert, Schumann, Delacroix, Friedrich, and Biedermeier painters.

March 12: Virginia’s Choice will be a concert of some of her favorite composers.

March 19: Moderns: Debussey, Stravinsky or Scriabin, Satie, Monet, Redon, Matisse, Picasso

    World-famous pianist and teacher Virginia Eskin will be lecturing on and playing the works of Robert Schumann and Franz Liszt, as well as works by Edward MacDowell, who was greatly influenced by Schumann and Liszt.
