"The World of Sicilian Wine", with Bill Nesto, MW, and Frances Di Savino

Description

In this seminar we introduce The World of Sicilian Wine, a newly published book by Nesto and Di Savino. This seminar will provide wine lovers with a comprehensive understanding of Sicilian wine, from its ancient roots to its modern evolution. Bill Nesto, MW, and Frances Di Savino, an attorney who has studied and worked in Italy, will investigate Sicily’s wine-growing areas, and their producers and wines, in the island’s three historical zones: the Val di Mazara, Val di Noto, and Val Demone. They will analyze the impact of recent trends in viticulture and enology and assess Sicily’s potential as a wine region. Woven throughout are three personal narratives that bring the culture of Sicilian wine to life. There will also be a tasting of Sicilian wines. Includes copy of The World of Sicilian Wine.
