"Polentonissimo!" At Tavolo


There is a tale of snowed-in coppersmiths in sixteenth century Piedmont who were given corn, eggs, onions and sausages by the local Marquis. Inspired by this story, Chef Chris Douglass (Ashmont Girll, formerly Icarus) hosts an Italian feast at his Tavolo restaurant in Dorchester, MA, along with a dramatic pouring of the historical polentone ("big polenta"). Enjoy Taolo's take on this Italian tradition, served with Italian wines.
