Understanding Tuscan Wine: Tradition and Innovation

Description

In this two-day course, Bill Nesto, Master of Wine

and one of the world’s foremost experts on the

wines of Tuscany, explains why this region has been

the dynamo behind the Italian wine renaissance.

Nesto will lead tutored tastings of Tuscany’s leading

wines. Saturday will focus on tradition, featuring

the history and wines of central Tuscany—such as

Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile

di Montepulciano, and other appellations. Sunday

will focus on innovation, exploring the Tuscan coast

and how Tuscany has changed the face of Italian

wine with Super Tuscans.
