On December 7-8, 2019, Boston University will be hosting a regional basketball championship tournament for the 21st consecutive year. This tournament is NOT part of the NIRSA National Championship Series, however the tournament will be run much the same way and the winning men’s and women’s teams will receive paid entry into the 2020 NIRSA National Championships.
Team registration will open on Friday, September 6 at Noon. The first 8 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams to register will be accepted.
Registration will take place via MyFitrec (click the link, then select Intramural Registration from the Adult Programs drop down menu). In order to register you will need to create a MyFitrec account which should be done ahead of time. To do this, simply click the MyFitrec link above, and then click the green “get started” button on the bottom right hand portion of the page.
Although this is not a NIRSA sponsored tournament, our tournament’s eligibility guidelines will mirror that of the NIRSA championship series.
Please visit the National Championship Series Eligibility Guidelines page for complete stipulations. It is the responsibility of each team and their Intramural/Club Sports Coordinator(s) to ensure eligibility of all players. Specific questions regarding player eligibility should be sent to Valerie McCutchan at NIRSA.
