Offers students the opportunity to prepare the group exercise instructor certification exams with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE),and to learn about individualized programs in health and fitness. The course is also appropriate for individuals with an interest in exercise and fitness, but who do not wish to pursue certification. Lectures include basic anatomy, exercise physiology, nutrition, and biomechanics. Practical training workshops are offered in exercise leadership, choreography, and safety.
