Rowing and Sailing

MASTERS ROWING AND SCULLING

Participants will engage in rigorous workouts, as well as technical drills. All aspects of the rowing discipline are emphasized, including sculling. A requirement to participate, on a rotational basis, as a coxswain might be necessary and is part of this course. Prerequisite: Completion of the BU Boating Swim Test, and completions of Level 2, Level 3, or Masters Rowing or Sculling courses at BU, or equivalent.

INDOOR TRAINING FOR ROWING

Training takes place at the rowing tanks and crew workout area at 300 Babcock St. Technical and physiological workouts will be done both on the rowing ergometer and in the rowing tanks. A review of technical rowing points will be conducted periodically and a rigorous training schedule will be included. Participants can sign up for between one and four days per week. No prerequisite except to have rowed or sculled (no beginners.) No swim test required.

Throughout the fall semester, rowing and sailing classes are also offered for credit as a PDP Course, via Student Link. PE Credit Classes.
