Personal Training

Why register for Personal Training @ FitRec?
  • To receive proper instruction right from the start.
  • To have a workout program developed in accordance with your own personal fitness goals.
  • To prepare you for an event/sport and help you achieve more accurate results.

Our personal trainers will provide you with the information and instruction you need to reach your health and fitness goals. You can meet one-on-one or in a group with a certified trainer who will design a personalized fitness plan just for you. In addition, we will review your progress and level of satisfaction, and then make appropriate adjustments to help you achieve the results you want.

To schedule your initial Personal Training Session:

  1. Complete the Personal Training Interest Form, Health History Questionnaire & Personal Training Policies Form and return or fax them to the Fitness Department at (617) 358-3747.
  2. Register and pay for package online or in person at FitRec
    Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.
  3. When all of the completed paperwork is received you will be contacted by the fitness department to schedule your training sessions.

Professional Personal Training Sessions

Level 1 Trainer: 1 session $65/$80; 5 sessions $275/$340; 10 sessions $400/$492
Group (2 People): 1 session $50/$62, 5 sessions $175/$215, 10 sessions $275/$338


Level 2 Trainer: 1 session $60/$74; 5 sessions $225/$277; 10 sessions $350/$432
Group (2 people) : 1 session $40/$50, 5 sessions $140/$173, 10 sessions $225/$277

Participants receive fitness instruction under the supervision of a certified personal trainer.

Fitness Assessments

Basic Fitness Evaluation

Fee: $60/$75

An evaluation session that includes assessments for cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, body composition and flexibility.

Fitness Evaluations and Program Design

Fee: $85/$105

A comprehensive evaluation session that includes assessments for cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, body composition, flexibility and program design.

Fitness Evaluation, Program Design and One Session

Fee: $125/$154

Includes a basic fitness assessment, a consultation of results and one personal training session.

Body Fat Testing

Fee: $20/$25

Skin fold calipers are used to measure percentage of body fat. Participants should come dressed in t-shirts and shorts.
