In addition to credit classes and a Dance Minor, we offer noncredit classes including Ballet, CardioJazzFunk, Capoeira, Hip Hop, Pilates, Pilates Personal Training and Tango. Find out more and register here!
The Dance program
allows participants to become aware of their physical and
creative capabilities, and to increase their understanding
of dance as a physical discipline, an art form and a social phenomenon. You can pursue dance as a performance art or recreational activity by taking
advantage of our technique and theory courses. We offer courses in traditional genres including ballet, modern,
jazz, tap, and improvisation; ethnic dance styles such as belly dance, Capoeira, Irish and Salsa; as well as, Hip Hop, Cardiojazzfunk, Pilates, and ballroom styles. There
are courses in history, aesthetics, composition and repertory classes. Our BU Dance Theater is the site of dance performances and workshops and is available for rentals. Please check out the list below to see what else we offer.
