Registration for Intramural Sports

Are you a Free Agent looking to find others to form a team before the deadline? Or simply get picked up by a captain after the deadline? Check out our Policies page for information how!

Thank you for your interest in registering for a BU Intramural Sport. Please follow the steps below to submit your team fee and roster. This registration process is for TEAMS ONLY (except for the individual swim meet). We suggest teams pay for their team(s) ASAP as many sporst do fill very quickly. Any questions about the process should be sent to IMSports@bu.edu

Register

Registering your team online is quick and secure.

Here are the steps:

To register your team, click the green "Register Online" button above to go to our online registration system which will open in a new browser. Log in and proceed to the Intramural Sports listings. If the sport you attempted to register for is full, please simply submit your completed roster to join the waitlist (info in step 2 below). Registration deadlines can be found here, but many sports will fill before the deadlines so submit your payment ASAP to hold your team spot.

After submitting payment for your team, download and complete your sports specific roster. All rosters must be typed and filled out completely. Players may be added to your team throughout the season, but a minimum for each sport is required to register.
Once you have completed your teams roster, simply e-mail it to IMRoster@bu.edu in Word format. A member of our team will double check your roster for completeness and confirm receipt. Please note that you are on the WAITLIST if your sport was full and you did not pay for your team.
Plan on sending a captain or team representative to your sport's captains meeting. Games are typically scheduled to start the Sunday following this meeting.

If you have problems using our online registration, please give us a call during business hours at (617)353-2748. Refunds for team entry fees may only be requested prior to the listed deadline for that sport.

Registering in person

To register in person with cash or check, please come to the Fitness and Recreation Center between the hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm Monday through Friday, and submit your payment at our downstairs registration area located down the pool hallway to the left of the front desk. Please remember that some sports fill very quickly, so paying online with a credit card is generally your best option.

After submitting payment in person, the team captain should continue the registration process beginning at step #2 above.

Pay By Funds Transfer

Groups choosing to pay by funds transfer should first reserve their team's spot by paying online with a credit card. After securing your spot, simply contact IMSports with your funds transfer number and your original payment will be refunded once the transfer has been completed.

After submitting payment, the team captain should continue the registration process beginning at step #2 above.
