Co-Rec Kickball Tournament (CLOSED)Fee: $TBA
Intramural Co-Rec Kickball is a one-day tournament and is open to students, faculty, and staff. The tournament will take place on Saturday, September 14 at 1:00pm on New Balance Field. Teams will have either 6 or 7 players in the field and rules will function very similar to a softball game in regards to base running and number of outs. Teams must have a minimum male-to-female ratio of no more than one on the field. Teams will pitch to themselves and receive a maximum of three attempts to get a ball into play.

Outdoor Soccer League (Closed)Fee: $TBA
BU Intramural Soccer is played across the width of Nickerson Field and is one of the most popular intramural sports. Subtle rule differences will make BU Intramural Soccer a slightly different experience than when you last played. For safety purposes, players must stay on their feet both to challenge as well as play the ball, only goal keepers can go to the ground, and due to the size of the field we have corner throws instead of kicks. The outdoor soccer league registration generally fills within a day of opening. Teams who fail to register prior to us reaching our limit should submit a completed roster in order to be placed on the wait list.

Flag Football League (Closed)Fee: $TBA
BU Intramural Flag Football is a no-contact sport played on a shortened Nickerson Field. With each set of downs, teams attempt to cross the closest zone line to attain a first down. After touchdowns, teams can choose to go for point after tries worth 1, 2, or 3 points from increasing distances from the goal line. BU Flag Football rules are modified from the NIRSA rule book.
3 on 3 Basketball League (Closed)Fee: $TBA
BU Intramural 3 on 3 basketball is played in the FitRec Center 4-court gym. Be sure to clear the ball behind the three-point line after every change in possession and use your fouls wisely as your opponents will shoot free throws on all fouls after your team accumulates five. Each night, teams are scheduled for a set of three games played to 11. Shots from behind the arc only count as 1 in 3 on 3 basketball so start recruiting your big men now!

Pre-Holiday 5 on 5 Basketball Tournament (Closed)Fee: $TBA
The BU Intramural Pre-Holiday 5-on-5 Basketball Tournament is played in the FitRec Center 4-court Gym. The tournament takes place after the close of the 3 on 3 season and generally ends before Thanksgiving break. Based on the length of the 3 on 3 season, the Pre-Holiday tournament may conclude AFTER the break. Each team will be scheduled into a pool with 2-3 other teams, with the top two advancing to a single elimination bracket. Teams are encouraged to provide their own matching shirts with numbers though a limited amount of pinnies will be available. In the Co-Rec division, a team must have a minimum male-to-female ratio of 2:3 on the court at all times.

Volleyball League (Closed)Fee: $TBA
BU Intramural Volleyball is played in the FitRec Center 4-court gym. We'll supply the ball but bring your own knee pads and a tall friend or two. Our brand of volleyball is pretty much just as you remember it...six on six, sub either individually or through the back line. Co-Rec games feature a rule where a player of each sex must contact the ball at least once prior to volleying the ball back over the net.

Try-A-Triathlon (Closed)Fee: $10 for students, $20 for non-students
The BU Triathlon Club will be hosting The first ever FitRec-sponsored triathlon here on campus. The event will feature a 200-yard indoor swim in the FitRec competition pool, a 15 minute timed bike (indoors), and a seven lap run around the track on level 3 of FitRec. All proceeds will benefit the Triathlon Club as they travel to competitions around the northeast. This event is designed to accommodate and be fun for people of all skill levels. We hope you'll come try our triathlon this Columbus day!!
Ice Hockey League (Closed)Fee: $TBA
BU Intramural Ice Hockey is played in the newly renovated Walter Brown Arena. Ours is no-check hockey but most players will wear pads and gloves. Hockey helmets with chin strap and full face cage are required. Pinnies, goalie equipment, and a limited number of helmets are provided by the Intramural Department. All games take place on Mondays/Wednesday between 6-8pm and based on available ice time we are only able to accept the first 7 teams to register. Individuals who do not have a team should try attending the captains meeting to try to hook up with a captain. If we do not reach our limit of 7 teams, we will form an entire team out of free agents who attend the captains meeting (each person will be responsible for a share of the team fee).

BU Intramural Floor Hockey is played in the FitRec Center 3-court Gym. This is an ideal facility for floor hockey with real hockey nets, team benches, and penalty boxes. Keep your sticks down and the bumping to a minimum in this fast paced, no-ice version of BU's signature sport. Make sure to bring a few subs as the large floor space will surely leave those of your who are out of shape gasping for air!

Dodgeball Tournament (Closed)Fee: $TBA
The Dodgeball tournament will be taking place Sunday, December 9 at Noon. The men's tournament will be first followed by the co-rec tournament and the women's tournament. Each team will play a three game match against every other team in their pool. The top teams from pool play will advance to a single elimination bracket. Games are 6 on 6, but teams may carry a maximum of 10. All teams must be available for the duration of the tournament or until their team is eliminated, whichever comes first.

The Intramural Swim Meet is a fun night of swimming in a very relaxed environment. Numerous distances and disciplines are offered and swimmers of all skill levels are encouraged to join and try them all! Registration and sign-ups are only accepted at the captains meeting prior to the meet. You can not register online for this event.
