Aquatic CenterThis beautiful facility features two swimming pools to accommodate all types of users. The Recreation Pool serves special groups and the general student population, while the Competition Pool accommodates the Varsity teams and other lap-swimming individuals, classes, or competing groups. The Competition Pool is an amazing 10-lane by 16-lane pool with the ability to change from meters to yards by use of a movable bulkhead, set according to activity. The depth slopes from 7 feet to 13.5 feet, appropriate for water polo, synchronized swimming, and diving. The Recreation Pool has many features for working out, playing, and just plain relaxing. Jog against a water current in the lazy river, join a shallow water aerobics class, or get a group of friends together to play water volleyball!  This smaller pool also features three 20-yard lanes, a zero depth ramp for wheelchairs, and slopes from three feet to five feet in depth. At 86 degrees, the warm water is a great therapeutic space, as well as ideal for teaching beginners and children. After a long day of classes and studying, take in a relaxing soak in the 15-person whirl pool or chill out on a floating mat.
