Equestrian

The Boston University Equestrian Team (BUET) is a competitive club that competes in Zone 1, Region 4, of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). Competition includes Hunter Seat Equitation and Hunter Seat Equitation Over Fences. The club encourages riders of all levels of experience and training to join. Rider Divisions range from beginner (those who have had little to no experience riding) to advanced (those that compete at top shows and have participated in Medal finals). Lessons are once a week. The team competes on weekends in four to six local shows each semester. The commitment is for both semesters.

Right: Kelly Purchase (CAS '12) after winning champion in Intermediate Fences at Zone 1 Finals. She placed eighth in the nation on May 3rd, 2012.
