Credit Based Loans

Credit-based loans provide supplemental assistance to students and families to help pay direct and indirect educational expenses. Students and families apply for credit-based loans directly with lenders. Before considering credit-based loans, students and families should determine whether they qualify for loans sponsored by the federal government, which may offer more favorable terms and conditions.  Students and families may use any lender of their choice without penalty whether or not that lender is identified here or in other University materials. Approval is not dependent on calculated financial eligibility, but the applicant and/or co-applicant must meet credit and other eligibility requirements set by lenders.  We encourage students and families to compare information concerning credit-based loans carefully.
