Now that you’ve applied for financial assistance, here are some resources to help you get a little closer to achieving your goals at Boston University.

Your Financial Aid Application Status

Applicants and Admitted Students

Use the MyBU portal to access:

  • Admissions and financial aid application requirements
  • Admissions and financial aid application status
  • Admissions and financial aid application decisions, once they are posted

Enrolled Students

Use the Student Link to access:

  • Financial aid application status
  • Financial aid award status
  • Student employment information
  • Student Account information
  • Academic records
  • Grant ShareLink access to a parent or other trusted individual

Entering students are emailed instructions after their enrollment deposit is received explaining how to upgrade their Web Account access to include the Student Link. Enrolled students should contact the Information Technology office to establish a Student Link Web Account.

Acknowledge Your Award Offer

Aid recipients are encouraged to acknowledge their award packages online. Please allow 3 to 5 business days before checking your application status to confirm that your acknowledgment of your award offer has been updated to your financial aid application record.

Admitted Students

Admitted students can acknowledge their financial aid packages through the MyBU portal.

Enrolled Students

Currently enrolled students can acknowledge an offer of financial aid through the Student Link.

Entering students are mailed instructions by early June explaining how to upgrade their Web Account access to include the Student Link. Enrolled students should contact the Information Technology office to establish a Student Link Web Account.

If you acknowledge to your financial aid offer online, please do not also submit a paper copy.

Students can request a refund through Student Accounting Services.
