Prof. Stern Testifies Before the Senate Aging Committee

School of Medicine Professor Robert Stern testified before the Senate Special Committee on Aging for the June 25th hearing entitled, “State of Play: Brain Injuries and Diseases of Aging.” Dr. Stern described the medical impact of brain trauma and the need for additional federal investment in medical research through the National Institutes of Health. Chris Nowinski, cofounder of the BU Chronic Traumatic Encephelopathy Center and executive director of the Sports Legacy Institute, joined Dr. Stern, as did former National Football League player Ben Utecht and Dr. Jacob VanLandingham of the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Neuroscience Center.
