| Synopsis: |
CTF is launching a new program to assist Boston University faculty with
technology commercialization, in both licensing opportunities and spin-out
companies.
The Technology Development Award Program aims to bridge the funding gap between
basic science and the more developed technologies usually required by
commercial entities.
Typical awards range from $20,000-$50,000. In exceptional circumstances,
awards of up to $100,000 would be considered.
A discussion of technology-based start ups will take place in addition to
the announcement of the Award process, selection criteria, etc. Speakers
will include:
Edson de Castro
founder, Data General, and
Trustee of Boston University
A reception will follow.
