Metropolitan College (MET) announces a unique workforce development opportunity for area companies and organizations: Preferred Educational Partnerships. These partnerships optimize existing employee tuition benefits through the availability of relevant degree and certificate programs--delivered in flexible formats by BU faculty--as well as innovative student services. Companies may choose from graduate and undergraduate programs, which are available through MET on-campus, online, or even on-site delivery. Organizations including Kronos of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Acambis of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and RSA Security of Bedford, Massachusetts, have extended Preferred Educational Partnership programs in project management and computer science to both their employees and the general public. Certificates in Publishing

Boston University's Center for Professional Education (CPE) announces two new comprehensive professional development certificates in Book and Magazine Publishing. Each 7-course program has been designed to educate students on the best practices, latest trends, and new technologies in this rapidly evolving industry. Courses led by seasoned professionals representing top regional publishing firms cover key components of the publishing trade from concept to the sellers stand, including hands-on instruction in design, editing, marketing, sales, and business planning. Both Book and Magazine Publishing tracks can be customized to the needs of various career levels, from those wishing to enter publishing, to currently practicing professionals working in-house or on a freelance basis. Food and Wine Programs

Presented under the auspices of Boston University's Metropolitan College, the programs feature star instructors, unique cuisines, and courses and seminars for professionals and casual learners alike. In addition to updated information and new features, the site will soon offer an online shopping cart for participants who wish to register for courses and seminars online.

Every year, Boston University Summer Term offers over 600 courses to thousands of students and scholars from around the world. Summer Term 2006 will include a wide variety of graduate and undergraduate courses, recreational activities, and short-term intensive programs in specialized subjects. Details, including course descriptions, housing information, and schedules, are now available on the Summer Term website. Registration begins March 15, 2006. Summer Term 2006 dates are:
