ABFM Part IV Credit

This is an ABFM approved module that can be applied toward ABFM MC-FP requirements. To credit any module toward ABFM MC-FP requirements, the following terms and conditions must be satisfied:

  1. ABFM MC-FP fees must be current.
  2. The module is eligible for MC-FP credit at the time of completion and is credited toward the stage or cycle based on the date of completion.
  3. Diplomate's in Stage Three of MC-FP or on a seven-year cycle must complete their MC-FP requirements as a prerequisite to Family Medicine recertification examination application approval.
  4. The module must be started and completed within a one-year period, and this period will not necessarily coincide with the Diplomate's MC-FP cycle.
  5. This module will only be applied toward Part IV requirements if it is the first Part IV module to be completed within the Diplomate's current MC-FP stage or seven-year cycle (each stage requires two Part II modules and one Part IV module and each cycle requires six Part II modules and one Part IV module. Additional Part II or Part IV modules completed within a stage or a cycle do not count for MC-FP credit).
  6. Completion of this module requires that the physician have a patient population to sample as part of the activity.
  7. It is the responsibility of the physician/Diplomate to ensure that all terms and conditions have been satisfied.

Additionally, the ABFM will not reimburse the Diplomate for any fees incurred in association with this activity.
